Coriolis Mass Flow MeterWorking Pricipciple :
- The basic operation of Coriolis mass flow meters is based on the principles of motion mechanics.
- Coriolis Mass Flow meter contains a vibrating tube in which a fluid flow causes, changes in frequency, phase shift or amplitude.
- The sensor signal is fed into the integrally mounted pc-board.
- The resulting output signal is strictly proportional to the real mass flow rate, whereas thermal mass flow meters are dependent of the physical properties of the fluid.
- Coriolis mass flow measurement is fast and very accurate.

Importance
- The Coriolis meter principle is based on motion mechanics.
- As the process fluid enters the sensor, it gets splitted.
- During operation, a drive coil stimulates the tubes to oscillate in opposition at the natural resonant frequency.
- As the tubes oscillate, the voltage generated from each pickoff creates a sine wave.
- This indicates the motion of one tube relative to the other.
- The time delay between the two sine waves is called Delta-T, which is directly proportional to the mass flow rate.
